"YOUR CHURCH WITHOUT WALLS"

calmlogo.jpg

Welcome to Christians At Large Ministry.  Please take a few minutes to look over our site.  Visit the message board and say hello.  We hope that your visit here is rewarding and fulfilling and that you make a decision to join us as we spread the Gospel of Jesus to everyone that we come into contact with.

A New Year in 2010

As we begin 2010, what the upcoming months hold in store for us may or may not be clear but if we can keep our eyes, hearts, and souls focused heavenward towards God, He will guide our steps.  Even when we stumble and fall, as we march through this year, He is faithful and will pick us up, dust us off, and provide a clear path to the destination that He is guiding us towards.

Let’s make 2010 the year of Evangelism and Salvation by spreading the message of the Gospel to each and everyone we meet.  Let’s plant the seeds of salvation, which can only be found in Christ Jesus, in the hearts and minds of everyone that we come into contact with.  God will provide the water.  God will cultivate.  But that cannot happen unless we plant the seed.  There are so many opportunities that are presented to each of us on a daily basis and if we are not careful we will miss planting a seed.  Ask Him to provide the opportunity and the courage to act and speak His message and God will provide.

It is my prayer that Christians At Large will grow as a ministry and that each of us grows closer in our walk with God through prayer, Bible Study, and fellowship.  I pray that God directs your walk and that you have an open heart and mind to His direction.  God Bless.

Pastor, Christians At Large Ministry

Who We Are

Christians At Large Ministry (CALM) is considered a ‘church without walls’ in that we do not operate in a ‘brick and mortar’ church type setting like many of churches today operate.   CALM is a multi-focused ministry operating in four different, yet intertwined, braches of ministry.

Branch One is that of Personal Evangelism Outreach.  Each individual Christian is called to preach the message of hope and salvation that can only be attained through a personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.  Each member of CALM is highly encouraged to spread the Gospel to everyone we come into contact with and we offer web-based training in personal evangelism.

Branch Two is the web ministry of CALM.  Christians At Large operates a web-based ministry offering on-line Bible studies, Christian fellowship through message boards, sermons, and a host of other on-line services.

Branch Three is the Chaplaincy with the Boy Scouts of America providing religious training through the ‘Duty to God; program and other religious services as needed.

Branch Four of the ministry is the Jail Ministry.  We work closely with the Jail Ministry of the Cumberland County Detention Center in Fayetteville, NC by providing Bible studies, prayer, and 3rd Sunday worship services.  We also assist with the book ministry within the detention center by collecting new and used Bibles, books and magazines for the men and women who are incarcerated there.

If you are not yet involved with Christians At Large Ministry it is our hope and prayer that you join us in serving our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Important Fellowship Information

Christians At Large Ministry is not intended to replace regular church attendance or be your only source of Christian fellowship.  Christians At Large Ministry is designed to be a resource and a source of Christian fellowship in addition to you local church.  Everyone is highly encouraged, if you have not already done so, to locate and fellowship in a local church or other place of worship.  We gain strength by fellowshipping with other believers in person as well as here on the web.  The early church understood the importance of regular fellowship with each other as shown in Acts 2:42-47 They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles…Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”  We encourage you to fellowship with us on a regular basis by utilizing the message board but we also encourage you to fellowship with a local body of believers.

Our Authority

Matthew 28:18-20: “Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’”

Our Authority of Ministry comes directly from our Lord Jesus who commands all believers to be His witness.  All believers are to be evangelists spreading the Word of the Lord to everyone everywhere.
